He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Akin and Orilla Akin; and his brothers, Jerry Harrison and Jimmy Harrison. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Akin of Brentwood, Tennessee; his children, Amy Fryman (James) of Nolensville, Tennessee, Jeremy Akin (Jennifer) of Hendersonville and John Mooneyham (Jennifer) of Nolensville, Tennessee; his brother Mike Akin (Vicki) of Chapel Hill, Tennessee; and his grandchildren, Layla Akin, Mady Akin, Nolan Akin, Evelyn Fryman, Katelyn Mooneyham and Jordin Mooneyham. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Williamson Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service (3009 Columbia Ave, Franklin, TN 37064). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
