He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Dee Owen and Ethel Ledbetter Owen; his former wife Joy Elaine Campbell Owen; his daughter Merrily Ann Owen; and his siblings, Myra Owen Dahlor, Franklin Owen and Dean Owen.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Lumpkins Owen of Brentwood, TN; his children, Elaine Owen Jones (Karl) of Wilsonville, AL, Jo Ellen Owen Taylor (Linc) of Franklin, TN and Dan Owen (Janae) of Jackson, TN; his stepchildren, Charles Fly, Barry Fly and Jaynie Floyd (Lee); his grandchildren, Whitney Owen, Austin Owen, Ryan Jones (Amanda), Grace Johnson (Mac), Joy Beth Higdon (Jake), Lynna Mell (Nathan), Hannah Fly, Sarah Fly, Maddie Fly, Elijah Fly, Cayla Armstrong (Dylan), Chandler Floyd and Camille Floyd; and his great grandchildren, Beau Higdon, Campbell Higdon, Thaddeus Johnson, Dominic Armstrong, Weston Jones and Hudson Jones.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ridgeway Funeral Home (201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN 38242). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
