With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn Blanche Huffman Sides of Brighton, Tennessee, who passed away on November 29, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Neverette Lafayette Huffman, Sr. and Annie Mae Marshall Huffman; her husband Joe Harry Sides, Sr. of Cherry, TN; and her siblings, Neverette Lafayette Huffman Jr., Thomas Gwinn "Tucker" Huffman, Edith Hanks, Janice Boswell, Shirley Kennedy, Nora Ruth Dickey and Charlotte Williams.
She is survived by: her children, Joe Harry Sides, Jr. of Brighton and Katie Hensley (Paul) of Brighton; her sisters, Mary Pannell, Margarette "Molly" Huffman and JoeAnne Alsbrook; her grandchildren, John Carlyle "Jack" Ruffin (Baylee) of Memphis, Carolyne McCallie Ruffin of Nashville and Alec-Thomas Huffman Ruffin of Brighton; and her great grandchildren, Sterling Love Ruffin and Patrick Sides Ruffin of Memphis.
To honor her memory, the family invites donations to the Margaret Sherrill Circle of Brighton Presbyterian Church.
