We announce the death of Sara Ann Glover of Brighton, Tennessee, who passed away on September 18, 2026, at the age of 72. Sara Ann will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband David "Scie" Glover; her father James Akins; her son Roy Dallas Glover; her sisters, Sylvia Thomas and Reba Plunkett; her grandmother Alma Ridings; and her son-in-law Leon Cross.
She is survived by: her daughters, Teena Isome and Kerry Bailey Cross; her stepdaughters, Rachel Glover Martin (Josh) and Jessica Howell (Dallas); her siblings, Jimmy Akins (Tracy), Bobby Akins, Kenny Akins, Steven McDowell and Bessie Schwartz; her mother Ruth McDowell (Richard); and her grandchildren, Whitney Kilgore (Ryan), Jimmy Goss (Jamee), Taylor Goss, Ashton Martin, Colton Martin, Hadley Howell, Harper Howell, Bubba Cross (Ashley), Tiffany Perry (Shannon) and Nick Cross (Jessica). She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Covington Funeral Home Chapel (3499 Hwy 51 S, Covington, TN 38019). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at the Morrison Memorial Cemetery (556 Trotter Rd, Brighton, TN 38011).
