Aileen Hobbs Cole Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Aileen Hobbs Cole (Bristol, Tennessee), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 18, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond C. Booher and Mary H. Booher; her husbands, Gaylord Kent Hobbs and James Ray Cole; her great grandchild Kinsey Hobbs Curtis; her son Brayden Curtis (Preston Geiger); and her siblings, Lucille Rutherford, Ruby Braswell, John Booher, Bud Booher and Earl Booher.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Hobbs (Vicky), Gaylord "Jimmy" Hobbs (Leigh) and Shelley Geiger (Martin); her grandchildren, Lee Hobbs, Jared Hobbs (Kayla), Adam Hobbs, Cody Hobbs and Derek Geiger; and her great grandchildren, Chris Hobbs, Carrington Hobbs, Aria Hobbs, Stella Hobbs and Lance Geiger. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Akard Funeral Home Chapel (1912 W State St, Bristol, TN 37620). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Akard Funeral Home (1912 W State St, Bristol, TN 37620). An entombment will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mountain View Cemetery (1019 Valley Dr, Bristol, VA 24201).
