He was predeceased by: his wife Novella Wellington Dixon; his daughter Linda Ann; his parents, Branner Glen Dixon Sr. and Evelyn H. Dixon; and his grandson Travis Payne.

He is survived by: his daughters, Glenda, Edwina and Monica; and his siblings, Eugene (Terry), Winfred, Vernell, Brenda and Evelyn. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
