He was predeceased by : his parents, Raymond Warden and Lorine Warden (Crickmen); and his siblings, William Warden, Eugene Warden and Mildred Bailey.

He is survived by : his wife Nancy Christine Warden; his children, Rebecca Ikeda of Myrtle Beach, SC, Tina McCandlish of Columbus, James "Dusty" Warden, Jr. of Honolulu, HI and Wade Warden (Linda) of Bluff City, TN; and his sister Margaret Diggs. He is also survived by six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

A celebration of life was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Oakley Cook Funeral Home (2223 Volunteer Pkwy, Bristol, TN 37620).
