He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Frank Tice and Lorraine Arnold Mills Tice; his siblings, Frederick Tice and Ruth Ann Buchanan (Gerry Buchanan); and his nephew Stephen F. Tice.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Jean Tice; his grandson Matthew E. Tice; his sister Susanna E. Tice (David S. Cauffman); his niece Cynthia Ann Geffen; his great-niece Caroline Tice Smith; his great-nephew John Hunter Tice; his great grandchildren, Zane Michael Tice and Rowan Edwards Tice; and his siblings-in-law, Mary E. Ryans and Jerry Case (Helen).
