With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Katherine Wheatley in Bristol, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 30, 2025 at the age of 87. As we bid Katherine farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Katherine is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ferd Morefield and Maggie Warren Morefield; her husband Donald Wheatley; her son Donnie Wheatley; and her siblings, Charlotte Huggins, Claire May, Gladys Thorton, Vernie Morefield, Bertie Morefield, Shirley Widener, Ilene Morefield and Carl Morefield.
She is survived by: her brother James Russell Morefield Sr.. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
