He is survived by: his wife Frances "Button" Austin; his son Timothy Gold Austin (Melissa); his grandchildren, Brittany White, Alexandria Austin, Zachary Austin, Daniel Hensley, Dylan Hensley and Jacqueline Woodruff; and his sister Katie Dinger. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
