She was predeceased by: her parents, John Daily Smith, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Smith; her former husband Carl Gordon Mitchell; her siblings, Ronald Smith, J. D. Smith, Jr., Martha Ann Halfacre, Vertie Mae Basford and Helen Smith; and her son-in-law Clayton Carl Grubbs, Sr..
She is survived by: her husband David Miller of Bristol, TN; her children, Carla Grubbs of Bristol, TN, James Mitchell (Vickie) of Lebanon, VA and David Mitchell Sr. (Faith LaForce) of Tazewell, VA; her stepsons, Daniel Miller of Johnson City, TN and J. B. Miller of Johnson City, TN; and her sister Dorothy Pruitt of Bristol, TN.. She is also survived by Eight grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home (232 Ben Bolt Ave, Tazewell, VA 24651). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
