He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Carroll and Myrna "Bunny" Timmons Carroll Schoenhardt; and his brother Jeffrey. He is survived by: his wife Vickie; his son Bentley; his stepfather Ron Schoenhardt of Bristol, TN; his stepdaughter Leigha Tournay-Hall (Quinn) of Troatman, NC; his grandchildren, Victoria Normand (Chad), T. J. Tourney-Hall, Ayanna Tourney-Hall and Brittany Gardner; his great grandchildren, Caroline, Trey and Emma Normand; his stepsiblings, Scott Schoenhardt and Lisa Goode; and his friends, Mark and Kim Gentry.
