He was predeceased by: his parents, J. B. Simpson and Lucille Colvett Simpson; his sister Peggy Simpson Castellaw; and his brother-in-law Billy Castellaw. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Haynes Simpson; his children, Rita Simpson Alexander (Wayne), Vickie Simpson Bonawitz (Kelley), Chad Simpson (Leah) and Vaughan Kirby (Hannah); his grandchildren, Casey Bonawitz, Brent Bonawitz (Hayley), Blake Simpson (Morgan), Blair Simpson-Simmons (Grant), Kody Alexander (Shayla), Chance Alexander, Miles Kirby (Sydni), Haynes Kirby and Elizabeth Kirby; and his great grandchildren, Molly Everett Simpson, Baker Simpson, Layne Alexander and Lilly Alexander.
