She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert W. Overton, Sr. and Helen Gregory Overton; and her siblings, Robert W. Overton, Jr., James Gregory (Carolyn) and Bonnie Patterson.
She is survived by: her sons, Chris Mullen (Mechelle) of Brownsville, TN and Kent Byrd (Marybeth) of Triangle, VA.; her brother Albert Overton (Lisa) of Kennesaw, GA; her siblings-in-law, Terry Patterson and Melinda Overton; and her granddaughters, Kyleigh Mullen and Natalie Ernzen. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home (1280 S Dupree St, Brownsville, TN 38012). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Brownsville Memorial Gardens (2488 US-70, Brownsville, TN 38012).
