She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Estelle Grimes and Isabell "Shine" Scott Grimes; her husband Rev. Fred S. Cook; her siblings, Jimmy Grimes and Linda Sue Grimes; and her children, Billy Wayne Cook and Tracey Lynn Cook.

She is survived by: her daughter Sharon Blackburn (Bishop Richard) of Brush Creek, TN.; her grandchildren, Kelly Jernigan of Loudon, TN, Kerrey Rowe of Brush Creek, TN and Rev. Kevin Blackburn (Diana) of Hickman, TN.; her great grandchildren, Dillon, Jake, Kie, Samuel, Alivia and Ezra; and her great great grandchildren, Landon, Kynlee, Paityn and Layla.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Living Water Ministries (15 New Middleton Hwy, Gordonsville, TN 38563). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Living Waters Ministries Church of God (15 New Middleton Hwy, Gordonsville, TN 38563). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the New Steekee Cemetery (790 Steekee Rd, Loudon, TN 37774).
