We are sad to announce that, on September 16, 2023, at the age of 75, Jay D. Ashley of Bulls Gap, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Paul Ashley; his brother Eddie Ashley; and his nephew Robert Ashley. He is survived by: his wife Alma Ashley; his mother Pearl Ashley; his children, Michael Ashley (Claudette), Mark Ashley and Vicki Short; his stepchildren, Lisa Greer, Roy Short (Teresa), Michael Beach (Sonya) and Melanie Wayne; his grandchildren, Michael Blanton (Pockey) and Stephanie Bunch (Noni); and his great grandchild Ethan Kyle Seay. He is also survived by Papaw's special buddy; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
