She was predeceased by : her parents, Claude Lee Ferrell, Sr. and Pauline Ruth Ferrell (Sliger); her husband Henry L. Beard; and her brothers, Claude Ferrell, Paul Ferrell and Bill Ferrell.

She is survived by : her children, Gary Wayne Beard (Beth) of Colfax, LA and Karen Denise Beard Gray of Pasadena, Maryland; her grandchildren, Gary Wayne Beard, Jr. (Kate), Allison Gray Clarke, Christopher Andrew Beard (Jane), Nicholas Alan Beard (Allison) and Ashley Gray Fisher (Cody); and her great grandchildren, Carter, Tanner, Madeline Clarke, Lucas, Brayden, Colter, Anna, Emme and Lauren Beard.
