He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jacob "Jay" Hodge and Bonnie Elizabeth Hodge; his wife June Dale Hodge; his niece Loretta Grindstaff; his nephew Dougie Grindstaff; and his great grandchildren, Chloe Rose and Hunter Jackson.
He is survived by: his children, Sheila Hodge Carrier, Rocky Smith Hodge (Bertie Marie) and Carol Hodge Harper; his sister Kate Grindstaff; his grandchildren, Daniel Lynn Harper, Austin Harper, Andrew Beam (Nikki), Savanah Harper and MaKayla Carrier; his great grandchildren, Serenity Harper, Alyssa Beam, Elijah Beam, Dalton Beam, Cain Harper, Layla Harper, Leo Harper and Baby Arlie; his close friend Brenda Mains; and his niece Deanna Grindstaff.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mountain City Funeral Home to assist with expenses.
