He was predeceased by: his parents, Chan Brown and Dolly Brown; his wife Ruth Stewart Brown; his children, Debbie Brown Renner (Gary) and Larry D. Brown; his siblings, Doris Hughes, Eula Mae Ford, Allene Barlowe, Junior Brown, Jr. and Gary Brown; and his grandson Silas Henry.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tammy Brown Fox (Robbie) of White Pine and Lori Brown Spurgeon (Billy) of Sevierville; his sister Idella Johnsons (Jimmy) of New Tazwell; his grandchildren, Chan Daniels (Jennifer), Ida Ruth Nallion (Jason), Jesse Heatherly, Janet Stuart (Chace), Dalton Spurgeon, Ashlee Spurgeon, Emilee Spurgeon and Jenna Corbin; his great grandchildren, Levi Daniels, Ella Reha Henry (Dakota), Aden Heatherly, Jada Nallion, Pressley Heatherly and Eli Banks; and his great great grandchildren, Renner Henry, Rhett Henry, Anthony Henry and Ko'a Daniels. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 29th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Manes Funeral Home Chapel (363 E Main St, Newport, TN 37821). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 29th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 30th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Brown Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
