She was predeceased by: her parents, Jay Shelley and Thelma Sue Shelley Whited; her husband Kenny Elder; and her nephew Marty Shelley Jr.. She is survived by: her son Sam Elder (Erica); her siblings, Steven Shelley, Marty Shelley (Cookie) and Beverly Bandy (Ronnie); and her siblings' children, Eric Bandy (Jeanie), Josh Bandy, Brandy Buck (Nathan), Melissa Davis (Peyton) and Miciah Shelley. She is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews and other family members.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Calendar Bloomington Christian Church (1500 Cordell Hull Memorial Dr, Byrdstown, TN 38549). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
