He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Neil (Berry) and Ethel Stone Carroll. He is survived by: his wife Melody Russell Carroll of Calhoun; his children, Mandi Melton (Nathan) of Calhoun, Ron Lingerfelt (Heather) of Cumming, GA, Steve Carroll (Tess) of Cleveland, Eric Carroll (Kristi), Chad Dodson (Jenni) of Coker Creek, TN and Chris Dodson (Rhonda) of Chattanooga, TN; his sister Judy Masingale of Athens, TN; his nieces, Patti West (Greg) of Athens and Anne Montgomery (Lee) of Athens; his nephew Mike Masingale (Joy) of Athens; and his sister-in-law Donna Goad of Calhoun, TN.. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Calhoun First Baptist Church (107 Church St, Calhoun, TN 37309). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Calhoun Cemetery (520 TN-163, Calhoun, TN 37310).
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Tennessee Baptist Children's Home @tennesseechildren.org or Calhoun First Baptist Church Mission Trip, P.O. Box 175 , Calhoun, TN 37309.
