He was predeceased by : his parents, Adron Thompson and Thelma Jordan Thompson. He is survived by : his wife Barbara Thompson of Camden, TN; his children, Jeremy Downum of Rockford, IL and Brandi Jennings (Jimmy) of Lebanon, MO.; his brother Ben Thompson (Lisa) of Camden, TN.; and his grandchildren, Isaiah, Nate, Tommy, Jocelyn, Avah and Alec.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Oakdale Funeral Home (401 Hwy 641 N, Camden, TN 38320). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
