He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, John D. Rushton and Katherine Weatherspoon Rushton; his wife Jackie Stewart Rushton; his children, Lee Rushton (Andrea), Meleia Schwerdtfeger (Dale), Melinda Proctor (Warren) and Kristy Thomas (Gino); his sister Winona Rushton Dodson (Gene); his grandchildren, Corey Burnette (Sommer), Kyle Burnette (Miranda), Matt Burnette (Amanda), Emma Rushton (Chas Rowlett) and Libby Rushton; his great grandchildren, Lacie Burnette, Kensie Burnette, Callie Burnette, Aiden Burnette, Mason Burnette, Brooks Burnette, Juliana Burnette, Luke Tryon and Kash Tryon; his nieces, Kelly Dodson Phelps (Ryan) and Karrie Dodson Pickard (Mike); his great-niece Taylor Dodson Wright (Grant); and his great-nephew Nate Phelps.
