He is survived by: his wife Janice White McElrath; his children, Ernestine Adams (David), Teresa Smith Sr. (Kevin), Jacqueline McElrath Mockabee, Ernest McElrath (Brenda) and Roland McElrath, Jr. (Michelle); his grandchildren, Sherrie Middlebrooks (Marchello), April Carr (Joey), Kevin Jr. Smith (Victoria), Ernest McElrath (Victoria), Bryan Adams, Whitney McElrath, Roland McElrath III, Malcolm Smith, Martin Smith, Jeremiah Smith, Brandon Bond, Skyler Grandberry and Joseph Powell (Bonus Grandchild); and his great grandchildren, Amelia, Elliott, Greysen, Gia, Alex, Harleigh, Mikayla, Skyler Jr., Kennedy, Brandon, Bailey and Amaya. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
