We announce the death of Gerald Curtis Chastain of Carthage, Tennessee, who passed away on September 27, 2026, at the age of 69. Gerald will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Albein Chastain Jr. and Dorothy Jean Bennett Chastain; and his brother Albein Chastain. He is survived by: his wife Pam Bates Chastain; his sons, Jason Curtis Chastain, Brandon Allen Chastain (Teri) and Jarad Cody Chastain (Jaclyn); his granddaughter Ella Grace Chastain; his siblings, Kimberly Tayse (Craig Cook), Fred Chastain (Jennifer) and Keith Zachary (Karla); and his sisters-in-law, Pat Foster, Carmen Williams and Faye Williams (David).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home (241 W Main St, Lebanon, TN 37087). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Conatser Cemetery.
