He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dudley Mears and Donna Faye Dill Mears; his brother Christopher Jason Mears; and his grandparents, Nettie Irene Banes and James Walter Dill.
He is survived by: his sister Stacey Nichole Nation; his nieces and nephews, Eric Cummings, Chris Cummings, Taylor and Rachel Mears; and his close friend David Alexander.
