He was predeceased by: the mother of his children Brenda Dianne West Claywell; his daughter Diana Carol Claywell; and his siblings, Geneva Claywell White, Evelyn Joyce Claywell, Elizabeth "Betty" Claywell Zukas, Myra Joy Claywell Powell, Bobby Claywell, Arthur Bryant Claywell Jr. and Jimmy Claywell.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Anderson Claywell; his granddaughters, Hailey Angel and Becky Langford (Eld); his brothers, Terry Claywell (Evonne Bransford Claywell) and Steve Claywell (Darlene Blair Claywell); Kevin Claywell (Stacey), Kenny Claywell (Tanya), Tiffany Anderson (Stacy) of Carthage and Lance Anderson (Holly Shoulders Anderson).
