She was predeceased by: her siblings, Ima Jean Smith, Cecil Odell Smith, William Columbus Smith (Bill), Dorothy Smith Chaffin, Ruby Carolyn Smith Rice, Dimple Dean Smith Watson, Buck Smith, Glenda Sue Smith Woods and Catherine Smith Glover; her children, Richard Lynn Petty and Wanda Louise Petty Chambers; and her son-in-law Robert Douglas Chambers.
She is survived by: her spouse Jackie Petty; her son Gary Petty (Vickie Apple Petty); and her grandchildren, Vickie Kiefer, Kelli Petty Martin (Jason), Jamie Petty of Carthage and April Petty Rowe (Brandon). She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
The Petty family has requested memorials to the Chestnut Mound United Methodist Church Cemetery.
