He was predeceased by: his wife Bobbie S. Rice; his parents, John Rice and Wylma Rice; and his siblings, John Rice Jr., Wylie Rice, Charles Duggan, Russell Duggan and Nell Buie.

He is survived by: his daughter Christie Rice. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
