He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Hackett; his son William Hackett Jr.; and his parents, Wert Lee Hackett and Martha Hackett. He is survived by: his children, Martha Cowan (Melvin) of Castalian Springs and Mike Hackett (Lisa) of Castalian Springs, Tennessee; and his grandchildren, Chris Cowan, Christy Haynes and Dawn Mason. He is also survived by loving great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Sumner Memorial Gardens (420 Albert Gallatin Ave, Gallatin, TN 37066).
