He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Copeland and Rose Copeland (Goolsby); his grandson John Copeland; and his siblings, William Arthur Copeland, Bobby Louis Copeland and Hazel Copeland Willis.

He is survived by: his close friend Vickie Keen; his son Randy Copeland (Charlotte); his grandson Matt Copeland (Ashley); his great grandchildren, Baylor Walden, Mason and Turner Copeland; his granddaughter Olivia Clements (Jake); his great grandchildren, Stella and Ora Clements; his son James Louis Raines (Michelle); his grandchildren, McKinley Raines, Haley and Jesse Adams; his great grandchild Ameila Allen (Mimi); his daughter Tara Scott (Dewayne); his grandsons, Allen and Adam Scott; and his siblings, Jessie Lee Copeland and Anna Rose Cherry. He is also survived by friends and neighbors.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Upton-Hay Funeral Home (307 W Lake Ave, Celina, TN 38551). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at the Copeland Family Cemetery.
