We are sad to announce that on June 6, 2025, James Griffin Coates of Centerville, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Coates and Irma Worley Coates; and his sister Glenda Weatherspoon. He is survived by: his wife Glenda Burlison Coates; his daughters, Ginger Coates James (Jeremy) and Holly Coates Orozco (Octavio); his grandchildren, Lauryn Benfatto (Brandyn), Lindsy Diamante, Anthony Diamante, Courtney James, Jackson Smith and Chase Orozco; and his brothers, Andy Coates (Shirley) and Phil Coates (Diane). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM and from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. - Hickman County (102 West End Ave, Centerville, TN 37033). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
