Though James may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Angela Sheehy May; and his brother-in-law Edwin Claude Sparks. He is survived by: his father Walter Shepard "Shep" May; his wife Peggy Breece May of Centerville, TN; his son James Patrick May, Jr.; his granddaughters, Courtney May and Hannah May (Albert Troccoli Dragonetti); his great grandchild Josephine May; and his siblings, Jane Sparks of San Antonio, TX and Gerald May (Linda) of McEwen, TN. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (175 St Patrick St, McEwen, TN 37101). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
