He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernie Barber and Thelma McClearen Barber; his son Barry Barber; and his brothers, Bill Barber and Tommy Barber.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra O'Guin Barber; his children, Tim Nash and Kim Barber; his stepchildren, Melanie Cagle and Mark Totty; and his sisters, JoAnne Haley and Dorothy Barnhill. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren.
