She was predeceased by: her parents, Douglas Claud Dansby and Gertrude DePriest Dansby; her brothers, Douglas Dansby (Martha), Andrew "Berry" Dansby (Nannie Ruth) and Joe Louis Dansby (Lillian); and her granddaughter April Boyd.

She is survived by: her daughters, Summer Dansby Boyd of Centerville and Harriet Dansby of Bellevue, Tennessee.; her sisters, Josephine Grimes (William) and Rozella Dansby; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Adrian, Nate, Jade Alise, Elijah and Carlos; and her great grandchildren, Kenley and Donte.
