She was predeceased by: her mother Rita Carbo Coker; her stepfather Jewel Ray Coker; her husband Douglas Barber, Sr.; her sons, Allen James Verdin and Robert Noel Verdin; and her stepson Tony "Pineapple" Barber.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Harden (Mike) of Tellico Plains, Tennessee and Gary Lee Verdin of Meridian, Mississippi; her stepson Douglas Barber, Jr. (Vicki); her stepdaughter-in-law Gina Barber; her brothers, John Coker, Sr., Ricky Coker (Joy), Jerry Coker and Jody Coker; and her siblings-in-law, Donnie Barber, Kathy Sharp (Bill) and LaQuita Carroll (CW). She is also survived by ten grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
