He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Thomas "Tom" Gilbert and Addie O'Guin Gilbert; and his brother Dale Gilbert. He is survived by: his wife Janey Gilbert; his daughters, Kristi Miller and Kim Brewer; his stepchildren, Susan Sullivan and Jimmy Tidwell; and his sister Joyce Bates. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
