He was predeceased by : his parents, Albert Schmittou and Gladys Schmittou (Whitson). He is survived by : his wife Bernardine Smith Schmittou; his children, Lorna Schmittou Karr, Neil Schmittou (Karen), Sonia Bedell (Sandy), Tania Schmittou Trevett, Gloria Ebarb (JJ) and Craig Schmittou (Shannon); and his sister Carolyn Nixon. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
