He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Rodgers and Mildred Ruth Chilton Rodgers; and his siblings, Pauline Rodgers, Martha Rodgers, James Edward "Buster" Rodgers, William Franklin Rodgers and Larry Eugene Rodgers.

He is survived by : his wife Beckie Perryman Rodgers of Chapel Hill, TN; his daughter Cassie Farmer (Jason) of Chapel Hill, TN; his grandchildren, Ivy Star Rodgers and Roman Lucas Farmer; and his sisters, Helen Hardison of Lewisburg, TN and Katy Luna of Lewisburg, TN..
