She was predeceased by: her spouse Norman "Nub" Johns; her parent Edith Fowler McConnelle; and her siblings, Molly and Lewis McConnelle. She is survived by: her sons, Billy Johns (Maxine) of Chapel Hill and David Johns (Quindal) of Chapel Hill; her grandchildren, Mendy Duty (Jeff), Jan Quinton (Neil), Lori Beth Visage (Josh), Brian Johns (Jennifer) and Brent Johns (Robin); her great grandchildren, Neely, Thomas, Logan, RuthAnn, Rosemary, Ransom Johns, Ryan Duty, Claire Quinton, Max Quinton and Riley Visage; her stepgrandchildren, Brian Patterson (Cindy), Melinda Sweeney (Dan), Brett Patterson (Andrea), Amanda Patterson, Blaize Sweeney and Boone Sweeney; and her great grandchildren, Austin Patterson and Lane Patterson.
