He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Johnny" Johnson and Katie Mae Johnson; his siblings, Millard Johnson and Robbie Gail Johnson Alcorn; and his nephews, Lee and Kevin Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Bruce Johnson; his daughters, Amy Johnson (Troy Batey) and Donna Johnson (Terry Brown); his grandchildren, Tucker Bennett and Bella Brown; his brothers, James "Bo" Johnson and Michael Johnson (Jennifer Coleman); and his sister-in-law Debbie Johnson.
