He is survived by: his children, Donny McCormick (Windy) and Wendy Thomason; his siblings, Billy McCormick (Lisa), Kathy McCormick, Sherry McCormick Hymer, Brenda Williams and Joyce Ford; his grandchildren, Bailey McCormick (Brenna "Brea"), Allison McCormick, Emily McCormick, Brandi Laney, Brittany Laney and Brooke Edsall; and his pet Maverick. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
