He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Bowman and Cora Bell Bowman; and his siblings, Leroy, Wilbur, Edna Jenkins, Mary Ruth Cranfield, Roselee Hill, Agnes Bowman and Irene Mowery.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Sue Bowman; his children, Dewayne Bowman (Cathy) of Cleveland, Scott Bowman (Virginia) of Ten Mile, Sheila Hicks (Tarzan) of Charleston, Kimberley Burnett (Mike) of Birchwood and Shandel (Anthony) of Charleston; his siblings, Velma Childs, Loris Goodwin and James Lee Bowman (Cathy); and his uncle Henry. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
