He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeremiah Marshall Chastain and Verla Louise Prince Chastain; and his wife Brenda Fay Chastain. He is survived by: his children, Tracy Dunwoody (Randy) and Ethan Chastain (Stacey); his siblings, Gladys Clayton, Janice Webb (Jesse), Melvin Chastain (Carolyn) and Lynn Chastain; his grandchildren, Daniel Steven Dunwoody, Emily Ryann Dunwoody and Madeline Grace Chastain; and his great grandchild Silas Aaron. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Calendar Companion Funeral & Cremation Service - Cleveland Chapel (2415 Georgetown Rd NW, Cleveland, TN 37311). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
