We are sad to announce that on December 10, 2025, at the age of 70, Phillip Shelton of Charleston, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Shelton and Phyllis Moon Shelton; and his siblings, Victor Shelton, Myrom Shelton Bowman, Leona Shelton Barham and Jane Shelton Green.
He is survived by: his wife Cindy Shelton; his children, Steven Shelton and Shelley Austin; his grandchildren, Caleb Joshua Pierce, Callie Jo Pierce and Abram Phillip Austin; and his siblings, Roy Shelton (Wilma) of Calhoun, Tennessee, Phyllis Shelton-Kellam of Duluth, Georgia, Jim David Shelton of Calhoun, Tennessee, Maxine Orr of Lawrenceville, Georgia and Sue Keeter of Murfreesboro, Tennessee..
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Poole Funeral Home (3000 Ralph Buckner Boulevard Northeast, Cleveland, TN 37311). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM at the Calhoun Community Cemetery (106 Church St, Calhoun, TN 37309).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Bradley County Fire Rescue, PO Box 1167 Cleveland, TN 37364, or Parkinson's Foundation at parkinson.org, in honor of Phillip's courageous journey and his desire to help others even beyond his lifetime.
