She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Avans and Julia Reeves Avans; her husband Dennie D. Pruitt; her son Allen Pruitt; and her siblings, Sam Avans, Oness Avans, Fred Avans, Cordellia Melton, Geraldine Palmer and Maryellen Higdon.
She is survived by: her son Michael Pruitt (Connie); her granddaughter Crystal Newbelle (Michael); and her great grandchildren, Harleigh and Skylar. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
