He is survived by: his wife Shelia Hall; and his siblings, Gwendolyn Stringer of Chattanooga, TN, Carolyn Gabriel of Nashville, TN, Verna Campbell (Charles) of Brunswick, GA, Raney Branch (Phillip) of Atlanta, GA, Sharon Tate of Chattanooga, TN, Regina Sparks (Ronnie) of Atlanta, GA, Vickie Cannon (Henry) of Chattanooga, TN, Dennis Richard Tate (Susie) of Chattanooga, TN, Likivu Mfwasi of Atlanta, GA and Zachary Tate of Chattanooga, TN. He is also survived by uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, customers, and friends.

“Hello to the Tate Family with heartfelt sympathies.I met Allan over 41 years ago and it was a immediate friendship over the years. We worked together at the General Mail Facility on Shallowford road,and in the men's locker room our lockers were nearby and we got to talk all the time. He was working there before me and showed me the ropes. When he left a few years later to start his haircut business. He was my barber for the next 38 years He told me this past spring he was retiring. John Gaiter.”
