He was predeceased by: his parents, James Raymond and Effie Lena Cofer. He is survived by: his wife Jo Cofer; his sons, Ronnie Cofer (Brenda) and Gerald Cofer (Karen); his grandchildren, Dr. Reece Cofer (Mary Catherine) and Heath Cofer (Kerby); his great grandchildren, Talley Cofer, Worth Cofer, Reed Cofer and Ford Cofer; and his brothers, Douglas Cofer (Sandra) and Bozy Cofer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bryant's memory to the Lupton Drive Church Choir Foundation.
