He is survived by: his wife Anita Smith; his children, Blane Edward Smith, Jr. (Marcie) and Amy James; his grandchildren, Katie Cox (Hunter), Jacob Welch, Hope Hembree, Jacklynn Peterson, Nicholas James and Levi James; and his siblings, Carlos, Ronnie (Leslie), James Smith and Susie Keith. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
