She was predeceased by: her husband W. A. Cofer; her parents, Robert Bolton and Ruth Bolton; her sister Pat Bolton Guerry; and her niece Sheryl Guerry Rose.
She is survived by: her children, Alan Cofer (Robin), William "Dub" Cofer (Jill) and Cindy Hixson (Mark); her sister Cathryn Kirk of Knoxville; and her cousin Carolyn.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church (5201 Dayton Pike, Hixson, TN 37343).
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Carolyn's memory to her church's missionary program, Calvary Baptist Church Mission Ministry or Daystar Ministries at their website dbmi.org or to their mailing address, P O Box 1193, Barboursville, WV 25504.
